What is a device account number?

Mobile Wallets create an electronic version of your ATM/debit cards, assigning them what is known as device account numbers for added protection. These device account numbers can be securely stored on your devices and used for purchases, replacing your ATM/debit card number(s). Your ATM/debit card number is not stored on the device.
